Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP)
Dicalcium phosphate, feed grade — a calcium and phosphorus supplement for animal feed, with a phosphorus content of about 18%. Feed, food and fertilizer grades are separate products.

Industry information — not currently offered
Dicalcium phosphate is the standard phosphorus supplement in compound animal feed. Feed grade carries roughly 18% phosphorus and 23% calcium, in a ratio that suits monogastric and ruminant diets, and it is specified against a feed-grade monograph rather than a fertilizer analysis.
The grade distinction is critical and is enforced at the border. Feed-grade DCP must meet limits on fluorine, heavy metals and arsenic that a fertilizer-grade calcium phosphate does not. Food-grade DCP is purer again. Selling one grade into an application that requires another is a compliance failure, not a commercial shortcut.
China is a significant producer and exporter of feed-grade phosphates. The material moves in 25 kg bags and in jumbo bags, and it is bought by feed mills and by distributors serving them.
Specification
The table below gives the nominal analysis and the parameters that a buyer should write into the contract. Values that depend on the production lot are not printed as numbers here, because a number on a website is not a guarantee — the lot COA is.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Phosphorus (P) | 18% min |
| Calcium (Ca) | 23% min |
| Fluorine (F) | Confirmed per lot — see TDS / COA The limit that separates feed grade from fertilizer grade |
| Arsenic (As) | Confirmed per lot — see TDS / COA |
| Lead (Pb) | Confirmed per lot — see TDS / COA |
| Moisture | Confirmed per lot — see TDS / COA |
| Particle size / mesh | Confirmed per lot — see TDS / COA |
Typical values describe the grade as it is normally traded. The guaranteed analysis for your order is the one stated on the certificate of analysis issued for the production lot, and it is confirmed in the sales contract before shipment.

Applications
- Compound animal feed, as a phosphorus and calcium source
- Mineral premix manufacture
- Pet food, where the grade permits
Why this product, and not the one next to it
The standard feed phosphate
DCP is the reference phosphorus supplement in feed formulation, so its analysis is what nutritionists balance against.
Calcium and phosphorus together
The two minerals arrive in a ratio that suits diet formulation, removing a separate calcium source from the premix.
Packaging options
- 25 kg PP woven bags with PE liner
- 1000 kg jumbo bags (FIBC)
Loading quantity depends on packaging, container type and the weight limit of the destination country. It is confirmed per order. The bag type, bag weight, liner and marks are stated on the quotation so that two offers can be compared on the same basis.
Quality documentation
- Certificate of analysis for the production lot
- Feed-grade compliance declaration
- Material safety data sheet
- Certificate of origin
Documents are issued on a per-shipment basis. Certification availability is confirmed for each order before contract.
Export considerations
Feed-grade documentation is the product. A buyer importing DCP for feed use needs the fluorine, arsenic and heavy-metal figures on the COA against the destination's feed-additive limits, and the registration requirements differ by country.

Questions buyers ask about DCP
Do you supply feed-grade DCP?
Not at present. The page is here to explain the grade and its documentation, because buyers often ask for it alongside fertilizer phosphates. They are different products with different regulatory treatment.
Can fertilizer-grade DCP be used in feed?
No. Feed grade has to meet fluorine, arsenic and heavy-metal limits that fertilizer grade is not made or tested against. Using fertilizer grade in feed is a regulatory violation in every major market.
